Everyone has a different perspective of the city depending on the part you play in its daily workings. What makes a good city? Who is it for, and who is it not for? Is everyone empowered in their roles? In this forum-style workshop, conducted by theatre educator Mooza Mohd, we’ll be using theatre games and exercises as a tool to dig deep into these issues and embody them, starting from our own personal narratives. Participants will be involved in making theatre. Forum-style theatre was originated by Augusto Boal and is being used all over the world as a technique that creates space for participants to rehearse taking action. It replays situations from our everyday lives and reveals invisible elements of our relationships, emotions, mental obstacles and desires that block us from being true to ourselves. This 4-hour workshop can accomodate up to 25 participants. No previous theatre experience is required, just a willingness to be present and interest to experiment their creativity.
